The Aegean Swim Cover

I am pleased to present The Aegean Swim Cover!

The Aegean Swim Cover is a beginner-friendly pattern with 4 options: a dress, a tunic, a ruffle dress, and a raglan sleeved shirt for boys. It comes in a wide range of sizes from 18 months – 12 years. The pattern is designed to be made with beach towels, and makes use of existing hems to save you time and make the finished garment look clean and professional. There are also directions if you would like to use terry cloth yardage though.

As always, this pattern includes full digitally illustrated sewing directions and a digitally drawn pattern, along with directions for printing, assembling, cutting, and tips to customize your swim cover. There is also a tutorial for an optional kangaroo pocket for all those special shells and rocks they’re sure to pick up.

Make a few of these for your kiddos this summer and you can stop lugging bulky towels to the pool and beach. Every style fits generously to guarantee easy on/easy off so (theoretically) kids can dress themselves while mom relaxes by the pool with a good book and a cold drink (theoretically, remember?)

A word to the wise: I’ve probably received just as many requests for custom orders as I have for a pattern. So if you have your own sewing business, I would highly recommend that you make these for your shop (home sewing businesses only, please!  Contact me if you want to produce them on a factory level.) It’s an easy sew and an easy sell! They would also make fantastic summer birthday presents!
