The Marseille Dress is a swingy, relaxed, unlined woven dress featuring a gathered skirt, bust and back darts, inseam pockets, a full center button placket, and an optional sash. View A is a narrower shoulder strap scoop neck and view B features a gentle V neck with wider shoulder straps. Both views have the option for a knee length or calf length hem. Marseille can be easily dressed up or down – pair it with strappy sandals or sneakers and a chunky cardi or a denim jacket – the options are endless!
Marseille is available in sizes 0 – 30, or hip widths of 35″ – 63″. See the size charts below for more sizing information. When adding the pattern to your cart, choose which size range works best for you. The pattern is delivered via one .zip file that contains 4 .pdf files – the instructions and a print-at-home, A0, and 36″ wide format file.
This pattern includes several introductory pages with information on picking the best size, performing girth and length adjustments if necessary, basic alterations, choosing fabric, and helpful sewing notes.

Fabric and Notions Requirements
Suggested Fabrics:
+ Light to midweight wovens with good drape, such as silk, poly, rayon, cotton, linen, and blends of these fabrics.
Notions Needed:
Sizes 0 – 20:
+ 10 coordinating buttons sized 1/2” to 3/4” (sizes 14+ may require 11 buttons for the calf length option depending on personal preference)
Sizes 14 – 30
+ 11 coordinating buttons sized 1/2” to 3/4” for knee length, 12 buttons for calf length (sizes 24+ may prefer to use 12 buttons for the knee length as well)
Both size ranges:
+ Matching thread
+ A strip of lightweight fusible interfacing measuring 42” long by 4” wide (the interfacing can also be applied in pieces if necessary)
Fabric Requirements
42″ wide fabric:
4 yards for sizes 0 – 20, 5 yards for sizes 14 – 30
54″+ wide fabric:
3 yards for sizes 0 – 20, 4 yards for sizes 14 – 30
