The Sheridan Sweater is a cozy, stylish, yet simple sweater in two views with several options.
View A has a crew neck, and view B features a built-up bateau neckline, similar to a wide mock turtleneck.
Both views have the option for a regular banded length, cropped banded length, or cropped hem length.
Sleeve styles include a cuffed bishop sleeve or an elasticated bishop sleeve, or a simple wide bell sleeve.
The Sheridan Sweater is the perfect fall and winter layering piece to keep you cozy and warm but looking put together and stylish. It works best in soft knits with some drape and good recovery. Any type of French terry is a great option provided it has some spandex (Lycra) for required stretch. Most double knits, interlocks, ribbings, and heavier jersey will work as well, provided they are not too thick and have at least 60% stretch on the cross grain. Sweater knits are ideal for the Sheridan as long as they have a sturdier hand. Look for more tightly knit sweater knits or ones that include spandex (Lycra).
The Sheridan Sweater pairs beautifully with sailor style pants, skinny jeans, flares, pencil skirts, button down midi skirts, and just about any other bottom imaginable. Because of its cropped length, it would also be a great layering piece over a dress or jumpsuit. It is easy to dress up or down depending on fabric choice, styling, and accessories, making it perfect for weekends, the office, or going out! Because it is so easy to sew, fit, and wear, the Sheridan also makes a great gift!
The pattern includes instructions for finding your best fit and fabric, alterations, a full bust adjustment, and adjusting the length of the sweater and sleeves.
