Introducing the long-awaited Union St. Tank! I'v

Introducing the long-awaited Union St. Tank! I've been playing around with this pattern since the Union St. tee was released in 2014 (!) and now it's finally here! Just like the tee, it features a fitted shoulder and bust with a relaxed waist and hip, making it comfy and easy to wear all summer long. Featuring a gently curved hem and banded finishes, it's also super easy to sew. Choose between a scoop neck or modified V (sewn with a dart for extra simplicity!). The Union St. Tank comes in sizes 0-30 with an optional FBA front in both views.

Introducing the Rosslyn Trousers. The Rosslyns are a ponte knit pant with three leg silhouettes, a zip fly, shaped waistband, darts, belt loops, and 4 no-bulk, no-gape pockets!

In a stories poll, you overwhelmingly said you'd love a straight fit trouser and that's my favorite view too! But the bootcut is coming in a hot second for me. The fun patterned ponte from @stylemakerfabrics definitely isn't hurting either. They have a ton of great ponte for the Rosslyns!

The Hey June website is chock full of tutorials to help you alter your existing patterns to extend their usefulness without spending a dime. The tutorials are based on HJ patterns, but will work with any similar style, and the great news is that these kinds of resources are usually available on any pattern designer's website. Want to add a pocket, ruffle, or collar? Odds are a Google search will get you there! How amazing is it that we have an incalculable amount of resources right at our fingertips?

If you want to support indie pattern designers but aren't in a position to shop, every single tag and share makes a difference to us, both in the murky IG algorithm and to us as humans who just love to see our work being used and enjoyed by you talented folk around the world.

Just spent the loveliest weekend at the 2021 Maker

Just spent the loveliest weekend at the 2021 Makers Retreat where we behaved appropriately for our ages and there were no shenanigans to speak of.

Skills learned:
- Macrame
- Questionable uses for macrame
- 90s pop dancing
- How to take a picture with a phone
- Polymer clay
- Female anatomy polymer clay
- Eating food you didn't make
- How to cut a circle
- Being in a room with other humans
- Carrying on a conversation post C*vid with other humans
- How to consume 3 desserts per meal
- Laughing without food coming out of your nose (still working on this one)

All of these skills and more could be yours! I hope if you ever get the chance you'll join us at a future Maker's Retreat! @straightstitchdesigns is such a wonderful host and plans the best getaways where you can learn a new skill and just spend a few days amongst your people. We'd love to see you there 🧡

I'm modeling the size 10 I made for my daughter. I measure into a size 6, so you can see that it still looks great sized up once or twice! I'm actually really digging this oversized look.

In this video, I'm demonstrating really quickly how to do that fun sleeve roll you see in stores that still allows the cuff to pop at the top. This is my favorite way to wear a button down 🧡
