You can use cotton knit 😉 But no, no wovens unfortunately, unless you extended the placket through the skirt. Because otherwise it would be too tight in the waist to get on comfortably and the armscye will probably be too tight. You could try sizing up though, just do a muslin first to be sure it’ll work.
