I love these pants. I have the pattern, and would really like to adapt version A to have wider, dead straight legs. I’ve tried overlaying a couple of other patterns I have on them, but the shape is so different I don’t think it would work. Any chance of a mini tutorial for doing that, pretty please?

Also – dying for a new pattern from you, it’s been a while. Hope everything is fine.

In reply to adrienne. Yes, but I like to baste fit whenever I make any basic alterations in length or width, so you can undo or increase the alterations before making them permanent. The side seams are generous so you won't have to add width to the pattern, but may end up decreasing the seam allowance.

Do you think the wider leg view would work as shorts with a 5-6″ inseam without changing the width at that point on the thigh? Or should some width be added to make them “look right” as shorts?

These look like exactly what I need…and without too much work to get there (thanks to all the work YOU did to create the pattern)! Now I just need this pattern…hopefully it will magically appear for Mother’s Day. 🙂
