I know exactly what you mean about cutting into Pendleton fabric. I only live ONE HOUR from the original Pendleton Woolen Mills Factory (I am in La Grande, Oregon, which is 45 miles East of Pendleton), and I avoid it every time I drive by – it would break my bank account. Even if I bought some of that lovely fabric, I would be like you – terrified to cut into it!

I’m not 100% comfortable with my body shape, and I’d never sewn anything with princess seams, which led me to be terrified of the project. But the pattern and the fabric were just sitting there so I finally jumped in and made it and I love it!

Thanks Rhonna! It’s true – the value of fabric is just how much you love it! This one happened to be pricey in terms of retail, but I have fabrics that I’ve been hoarding for just as long that came from a yard sale!
