I totally get what you're saying and I know exactly what you're talking about with those 80s sweatpants, lol! I say just go for it, they're so great for casual wear and you can make them more 2018 with styling. But maybe check out my post tomorrow for a better fit/fabric ;) And thank you so much for weighing in on that camo issue with an expert opinion, that makes me feel better :)

I totally LOL'd at your comment about military and hunters cultural appropriation. =D

I've seen SO MANY Hudson pants all over the sewing blogosphere and while I do agree that they look cute on everyone else, there's just something about fitted ankles on pants that scares me. I think it's because I'm an 80s child and I associate fitted ankles with traditional sweatpants (you know the ones I mean). I'm sure that's something I need to just get over, but I'm not quite sure how...maybe just dive right into the deep end and make a pair of fitted-ankle joggers?

Aside: as a veteran, I can honestly say that the only time I get a bit miffed is when someone is wearing actual uniforms or parts of uniforms as daily wear. Keep the cute camo garments coming!
